    FAI says farewell to its last Learjet 35A

    German Special Mission Operator FAI rent-a-jet AG (dba Flight Ambulance Intl.) recently celebrated a special milestone in the company’s history as the last remaining Learjet 35A aircraft in its fleet took off from Nuremberg for its new home in Mexico. Company-wide, the growing fleet now comprises two Learjet 55s, eleven Learjet 60s, five Challenger 604s and three Global Express. Another Challenger 604 plus one Global are expected to join the fleet soon.

    German special mission operator FAI rent-a-jet AG is pleased to announce it has been awarded a one-year public tendered contract to operate two Learjet 60s out of Algiers, the capital of Algeria. The aircraft will be used for multi-purpose missions including both passenger transport and medevac services. This latest win, in a new territory for FAI, underlines the company’s capabilities on the African continent which has already included operations with aircraft based in Sudan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Mali.

    FAI rent-a-jet’s Moscow office is in celebratory mood having won two significant categories at the JET24 awards, which took place during this year’s JetExpo 2016. At a grand ceremony, held in the Russian capital, Victor Rudnov, Director of Business Development for the Russian Federation & CIS, proudly accepted the Honorary Diploma for Opening of the Year.

    FAI breaks ground on new Hangar 8 and shares progress on Construction Cam

    FAI Asset Management GmbH, a Member of the Germany-headquartered FAI Aviation Group, has begun construction of a third hangar at Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg. Ground was broken for the latest FAI building – to be known as Hangar 8 – on 15 August following completion of road network infrastructure changes by the airport company. The €6m project will result in a building with a 4,800m² footprint, of which 4,500m² will comprise hangar space and 300 m² will be dedicated to office areas. Designed in house by FAI CEO Siegfried Axtmann, the additional building will mirror the existing FAI properties in style, and like the rest of the facility will also be carbon neutral.

    FAI bolsters Russian and CIS business as it launches series of customer events.

    Germany-headquartered FAI Aviation Group is bolstering its activity across Russia and the CIS region, by launching a series of customer-focused events. The first event took place on 14 July when Victor Rudnow, Director of Business Development, Russia and the CIS for FAI “opened” the FAI Aircraft Showroom.

    German company FAI Asset Management GmbH has announced the acquisition of four Bombardier aircraft from an undisclosed vendor. The two Global Express models and two Learjet 60 aircraft will be leased from FAI Asset Management GmbH to the FAI Aviation Group. This makes FAI Aviation Group the largest business jet operator in Germany with a total of 20 jets operating on the FAI AOC and a Premiere 1A on FAI owned Fly Alpha´s AOC.

    FAI’s Hangar 8 project on track to break ground in June

    FAI Asset Management GmbH has confirmed that it will be breaking ground for its third hangar at Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg in June of this year. The new hangar, which represents an investment of €6m, will increase FAI’s hangar floor space by another 4,500m², bringing the total size of the FAI facility to 13,500m².
