    FAI’s Hangar 8 project on track to break ground in June

    FAI Asset Management GmbH has confirmed that it will be breaking ground for its third hangar at Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg in June of this year. The new hangar, which represents an investment of €6m, will increase FAI’s hangar floor space by another 4,500m², bringing the total size of the FAI facility to 13,500m².

  • 2015 delivers another record year for FAI

    German General Aviation operator and air ambulance specialist FAI rent-a-jet AG (dba Flight Ambulance International) is marking another successful year as it closes its books on 2015. The Nuremberg-headquartered company has recorded an operational income of approximately €80m, up on the 2014 figure of €73.5m.

  • Axtmann Holding AG acquires majority stake of German operator Fly Alpha GmbH.

    Two Nuremberg-based operators have come together as Axtmann Holding AG, parent company of general aviation and air ambulance specialist operator FAI rent-a-jet, has announced the purchase of a majority stake in Nuremberg-based operator Fly Alpha. The deal sees Axtmann Holding AG take a 51% stake in the company, with an option to complete a full purchase at a later time. Under the terms of the agreement Fly Alpha’s Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1A, Beechcraft King Air 200 and Beechcraft King Air 300 will now be available for charter through FAI rent-a-jet, although they will continue to operate under Fly Alpha’s AOC.

    German GA-Operator FAI rent-a-jet Aktiengesellschaft has confirmed the exit of its Greek Shareholder MIG Aviation Holding Ltd. (a 100 % subsidiary of Marfin Investment Group).
